Hi Rob,
Thoroughly enjoying my relaunch experience with APF. You may be interested to know that with a new site from A Photo Folio, I’m looking at 75% new visitors whose stay on my site went from 3 to 7 minutes and a bounce rate that has gone from 50% to 15%.
Can’t thank you enough.

Moya McAllister is a former Photo Editor turned food photographer. All our sites are tested by Photo Editors, Art Buyers and Creative Directors, but it’s nice to have one as a client as well.
Dear Rob,
Thanks for all your help, support and encouragement for my photography this last few years. As you know, I recently left my full-time job to finally pursue my own photography business. Just in these few short months, I am getting very good response to my work and especially to the website. Clients love the clean presentation & big images.
For example, after sending private galleries to potential clients, they raved about how easy (the site) was to use. I just landed a 3-week cookbook assignment in Europe for May, and am looking forward to hearing from several magazines about work when I get back.
Charlie Ussery on the AFP Help Desk was great – he got to my ticket very quickly, was personable, and couldn’t have made it easier. I just updated my site with the new version of the same design, rather than choosing something else. The templates are so customizable – I really like the entire new look at feel of my site.
Honestly, I could not have even gotten this far without you & APhotoFolio.
Please know you have my gratitude forever.
Best wishes,
Moya
Every single thing that I do in terms of promotional or marketing is to try and drive people to the website. Your website today is the most important marketing tool that you’ve got. You want to make sure you’ve absolutely got a great website.

Building your own website is so yesterday, too much work, time and $$$. After looking all over I decided to use A Photo Folio. Great price; clean, modern and simple; and they are very nice to work with unlike Livebooks. The biggest surprise for me was some of my clients love the big images on the site so much that they no longer need me to send over a printed book!

ShootSmarter.com is a blog site that “is committed to presenting unbiased info to photographers – from photographers so they can shoot smarter instead of harder.” Nick Lovell wrote a story for them about searching for a new website (read it here). Here’s what he had to say about us:
APhotoFolio.com – quickly becoming known as the Lamborghini of professional portfolio sites, APhotoFolio offers the option to have HUGE images while retaining the clean navigation of sites like LiveBooks and Clickbooq. Of PDN’s Best Website winners for 2010, two of them were APhotoFolio sites.

Rob -
As a freelance professional photographer, my website is the single most important tool that I rely on to drive my business. Sure, a photographer has to have quality work in his portfolio, but how that portfolio is showcased on-line is paramount in importance.
A Photo Folio is without question the best website I’ve ever had. I launched only recently, but already see an increase in inquiries from a variety of client types. The A Photo Folio site conveys the image that I want to convey. My site is big, bold, crisp, impressive, and easy to navigate.
From the photographer’s perspective, the admin area is easy to grasp and is designed with professional photographers in mind. This isn’t just a site created by a web designer trying to make a buck off of photographers; this is a site designed by photographers with photographers’ interests in mind.
I’ve had numerous sites over the years from custom sites to template sites, but I’ve found a permanent home at A Photo Folio. It’s an awesome site with great customization possibilities. And the addition of the A Photo Client service really rounds out the package.
Take it from a photographer of 30 years: A Photo Folio is the best option out there for photographers wanting to showcase their work to sell jobs. Period.

Mike Rebholz is an Architectural and Commercial photographer in Madison WI.
He posted his new site on the Madison Shooters blog and was asked why he switched over to APhotoFolio. Here is what he said:
I switched from LiveBooks to aphotofolio for a number of reasons.
1. After being with LiveBooks for 5 years they decided to restructure their policies and offered me the opportunity to pay them $500 for a prefab site or more money if I wanted to keep my existing site.
2. Upon looking at it I found I could have more design flexibility with one of aphotofolio’s templates with a more robust and diverse back end for file delivery and site management for less money than with LiveBooks.
3.aphotofolio does not brand my site with their logo. LiveBooks charges extra for that option.
4.Flash was an issue but I’d been using a flash site with LiveBooks so it wasn’t an issue for me and aphotofolio came up with an iPad/iPhone html solution much faster than LiveBooks did and it looks better.
5.Setting up aphotofolio site initially is more complicated than the zipless process that is LiveBooks but if you are at all technically minded the process is not bad as their instructions are clear.
6. At one point I did run into an issue and used aphotofolio’s help ticket system. I got a response in about 10 minutes as opposed to the roughly 4-24 hours it usually took LiveBooks.

Rob,
My new aphotofolio site is now live, and I just wanted to tell you how fantastic the service is and how excited I am to be using it. Everything from initial implementation through tech support and going live was a pleasure. Your staff was extremely helpful through any problem I had. I love the final look of the site I put together using your system.
Sincerely,

Mechelle LaVelle specializes in Medical Photography and sent me this note:
Hi Rob,
A PhotoClient works great… I love the simplicity of it yet it has all of the options that I would need from an interactive client forum. I’d also like to convey to you what a wonderful service you are providing to the photography community.
I love my portfolio on A PhotoFolio because it allows me the amount of control and customization that I would want in a website without having to keep my head in a book for a month learning Flash or HTML. Your service and response time is exceptional and the ability to display my photos in an expandable size is so important for medical photography. The format is visually stunning and it allows surgeons and physicians to view the detail they want and expect without having to be taught how to ‘zoom in’ on an image.
Thank you again,
Mechelle LaVelle
Erik Skaar is a Seattle luxury product & still life photographer and sent me this email recently:
Hi Rob-
Wanted to let you know my site is live and it looks incredible!
I also wanted to let you know that your product is bar none, the best available as is your staff. I could literally file a support ticket and (not including the automated response) would often times have a response in less than two minutes. Whoever your people are behind the scenes, they are on top of it. Please extend to them a big thank you for me.
Again, thanks for providing such a great product and great support. It’s really been a pleasure and I will definitely be telling all who will listen about APF. In fact, it’s my next blog post.
Cheers,
Erik
Hi,
I just wanted to let you know how THRILLED I am with my new website! The design and functions are getting great reviews from clients, and the iPhone compatibility is awesome. The whole process has been great. I submitted two support tickets, and each one was responded to in 5 min. I truly appreciate my project being treated like a priority. Thank you!

Michael Clark is an Advertising, Editorial and Adventure Sports photographer who publishes a popular quarterly newsletter about photography. He mentioned his switch to APhotoFolio in the most recent edition (download here) and here’s what he had to say:
For the website, I used a template offered by Rob Haggart’s company APhotoFolio.com after looking at several of his websites on a 30-inch monitor and wondering how the images could be so huge and load so quickly. Basically I was seduced by how spectacular the images looked on his websites.
The new website is a faster version of the old website with images that are much larger and load even faster than the smaller images on my old website.
Surprisingly, even though it is a Flash based website, all of the text carried over quite well and there is an HTML site running in the background that shows up on iPhones and on any other non-Flash compliant devices.
Robert Benson is a photographer who had one website with us already and launched a second aimed specifically at the shelter category. Here’s what he wrote about us on his blog:
if you’re shopping around for a website that looks professional and is fully customizable, check out aphotofolio.com – they are the best around for multiple reasons, which I’d be happy to talk about to anyone who asks.

Dave Howells is a USA based Portrait and Landscape photographer who recently moved his website over to APhotoFolio. Here’s what he had to say about it:
Hi Rob,
My web site’s up and I’ve already got 2 new big contracts! A great investment me thinks.
I just wanted to say a big thanks, everything was very smooth, especially liked the video help and the results are fab. I think you might be getting a few inquires from some of my rather jealous friends.
Once again….
Thanks,
