How much does the service cost?
A Photo Folio sites require 4 monthly payments of $250 and a monthly hosting fee of $17.

Are there any long-term contracts or cancellation fees?
No. The hosting of your site is month-to-month service. You can cancel at any time. In order to receive a refund of your setup fee when canceling, you must do so within 31 days of purchase.

I need a domain name do you provide those?
We recommend namesecure.com, mydomain.com and networksolutions.com for purchasing domain names (Note: you can use any service you like for this). We do not provide domain registration, but do provide hosting and connection to email, so make sure you only register a domain name with them.

Is there a discount if I buy more than one website?
Yes. The setup fee for each subsequent website purchase is half ($500). Hosting remains the same.
Email us beforehand and we will refund you after the purchase.
NOTE: This applies to one photographer buying multiple websites. You do not have to buy them all at the same time to take advantage of the offer. It’s available to you as long as you already have one site with us. Also, the discount works for a third, fourth, fifth… site as well.

How long until my new site is ready?
After completing purchase, your new site will be setup and you’ll receive a welcome email within one business day.

Can I host the site on my own account?
I’m sorry, our websites must be hosted on our fast, ultra reliable servers.

What blog system(s) are available?
When your site is set up or at anytime after that we can optionally install a blog powered by WordPress at no additional charge.

Do the sites have an HTML or mobile viewing option?
Design X is built using HTML5. Our other designs (1-9) include a mirror HTML site and a site optimized for the iPhone, Android phones and other devices. All provide additional options for your clients and improved search engine visibility.

Do you support HTML5 and the iPad?
Design X is built using HTML5. All our other designs (1-9) have a custom designed iPad mirror built using HTML5.

Are the sites SEO-friendly?
They are very friendly, in fact. Our team has expertise in optimizing websites for search engines. Here are just a few features that ensure your site will be visible and well-ranked:
1. Easily control your site’s browser title and meta information.
2. We use best-practices for embedding content, ensuring search engines crawl your pages and view alternate content.
3. Every site includes an HTML mirror site (Design X is built in HTML5) with search engine-friendly URLs and properly tagged images.

Can I switch between designs? If so, what is the cost involved?
Yes, absolutely you can switch between designs. You can switch as much as you like before going live then after that the first change is free. After you have already switched designs once (after going live), any subsequent design changes will be $100.

Do the sites allow me to have an email address that’s the same as my domain name?
Yes, you can connect your website to Gmail for business (Google Apps) or you can use email from a domain registrar like network solutions who offers email for a cheaper fee than google apps.

Can I add my logo?
Yes, you can add your logo or chose from high quality font selections in our preset font library.

Does A Photo Folio customize their sites to specific clients requests?
At this time we will not be taking customization requests. The sites allow for total control by the photographer. You can ‘customize’ the site by changing colors, changing fonts, adding your logo, adding an intro, etc.

Can I make changes to the site after it is live?
Yes, in fact the site is always live we just keep it on a temporary url that cannot be searched until you are ready to make it live on your own url. You can change anything you want at any time.

How does switching my email over work?
Aphotofolio doesn’t directly offer email. We suggest using google apps professional email offering for $5 a month. We use it internally and love it (can’t beat google’s spam protection). Also as an alternative to google apps, most domain registrars (like network solutions) offer email for a cheaper fee.

How does switching my domain over work?
Your domain switchover is seamless with zero down time. You will have your domain name host change the DNS settings so that your URL will point at our server (where the new site is waiting but not till you’ve completed it). This can take up to 72 hours to complete (because nameservers cache the location of websites to save computing power) so some visitors will see your old site (for up to 72 hours) and some will see the new site, depending on where in the world they live.

Do you have a client area?
Yes, we’ve developed the best client proofing/image delivery system in the world available exclusively to APhotoFolio website users. Go to EditDrop.com to learn more. As an alternative you can simply password protect or hide any of your image galleries. This comes standard with all our sites and doesn’t require add-on software.

Do you backup the websites?
Absolutely. We keep a copy of all the sites in a secure location on tape. We perform backup’s every single night.

What does “Virtually Unlimited Bandwidth” mean?
We think it’s impossible to know how much bandwidth you will need so we don’t place a cap on the use. If we determine you are using an unusually large amount, month after month, we will contact you to find a solution that works for both of us.
