We opened for business in July of 2008, but can trace our beginnings to the Photo Departments of Outside Magazine and Men’s Journal where Rob Haggart worked as Director of Photography for 8 years prior. To hire photographers to shoot for the magazines he looked at thousands and thousands of websites and over the years developed a list of user friendly features that would become the beginnings of a company called APhotoFolio. Rob Haggart
Founder and CEO
Prior to founding aPhotoFolio, Rob was the Director of Photography for Men’s Journal and Outside Magazine. Having viewed many thousand website portfolios he created aPhotoFolio from the clients point of view. He likes to quote Steve Jobs who said “Design is not just what it looks like and feels like. Design is how it works.”
Kent Akins
Head of Design and Development
Kent leads the development and design of aPhotoFolio. His blood and sweat is in the code and pixels of our website, which sounds icky, but think of a blacksmith and you get the picture. He hammers and bends the code into shape. Serious. Don’t stand near him when something will not work like he wants.
Erik Dungan
co-Founder
Erik is a serial developer who created the first version of our software and many tools we use behind the scenes. He’s always got something cooking.
William Do
Senior Developer
William co-developed the Design X admin and is working on improvements and new features.
Kyle Murphy
Developer
Kyle is developing Edit Drop and improving it based on our customer feedback. Our customers give us awesome feedback!
Jeff Cato
Developer
Jeff is working with Kent and William on improving and refining Design X. He is learning how to pound code and pixels into shape.
Charlie Ussery
Technical Support and Billing
Charlie handles technical support and billing for our websites. He can look under the hood if necessary. Support tickets go to him or Matt.
